Happy to help with this one! After a recent app update, some technicians are seeing work orders fail to sync from their mobile devices to the web dashboard. This typically presents as completed jobs appearing "stuck" on the phone or new assignments not showing up despite being dispatched.
Symptoms
- Work orders created or updated on mobile do not appear on the web dashboard
- New dispatches sent from the office don't appear in the technician's work order list
- Pull-to-refresh shows spinning indicator but no new data loads
- Persistent "Sync Error" badge on the mobile app icon (iOS) or notification bar (Android)
Affected Versions
FieldPulse Mobile 3.2.0 – 3.2.2 on iOS and Android. Resolved in 3.2.3.
Root Cause
The app update process occasionally preserves an outdated authentication token in the local cache. When the app attempts to sync, the token is rejected by the server, causing all sync operations to fail silently rather than triggering a re-authentication prompt.
Resolution
Option 1: Force Log Out and Back In (Recommended)
- Open the FieldPulse mobile app
- Tap Menu (☰) → Settings
- Scroll down and tap Sign Out
- Confirm the sign-out action
- Sign back in with your credentials
- Allow the initial sync to complete (may take 30–60 seconds)
Option 2: Clear App Data (Android Only)
- Go to Settings → Apps → FieldPulse
- Tap Storage & Cache
- Tap Clear Cache, then Clear Storage
- Reopen the app and sign in
Option 3: Reinstall (iOS)
- Long-press the FieldPulse app icon
- Tap Remove App → Delete App
- Reinstall from the App Store
- Sign in with your credentials
After completing any of these steps, your work orders should sync normally. If you're still seeing issues after re-authentication, please check that you're on version 3.2.3 or later in your app store.
