What tools do you use alongside FieldPulse that aren't integrated yet?

hi all — quick question from the dispatch desk

we're running FieldPulse for scheduling and work orders but honestly there's still like 5 other things we're juggling in parallel. wondering if anyone else has this patchwork situation and what you're using

for us it's:

  • google sheets for parts inventory (i know i know)
  • whatsapp groups for tech-to-tech communication
  • a shared calendar in outlook for PTO and truck maintenance schedules
  • some random pdf editor for customer quotes that didn't come through FieldPulse

none of it talks to each other. every morning i'm copy-pasting between three windows

what's your stack look like. anything you wish would just connect already

  • Oh my gosh yes! We have so many parallel systems and it drives me crazy but I can't figure out how to consolidate without losing something important

    Our list:

    • Canva — for making nice-looking customer proposals because the FieldPulse quote template is too basic and our sales team wants branding
    • Monday.com — for big commercial projects that have like 40 phases and FieldPulse treats everything as one work order
    • Stripe for deposits — FieldPulse invoicing is fine but customers want to pay a deposit to book and we couldn't figure out how to make that flow right
    • Dropbox for photo backups because the FieldPulse photo limit makes me nervous and also we need high-res for insurance claims

Thanks so much for starting this thread! Really seeing I'm not alone here. Does anyone have a workflow where they actually reduced the number of tools? That's my dream but every time I try something breaks

  • Deja, I love this honest inventory — we want to make sure you're set up for success and this kind of feedback is exactly what helps us prioritize.

    A few things worth mentioning:

Photo storage: We're actively exploring higher-resolution exports and longer retention options. The current limits are indeed designed for operational efficiency, not archival — totally understand the insurance use case.

Deposits: This is a known gap. Some customers are using the "payment on account" feature plus manual invoice creation, but that's clearly a workaround, not a solution. I'll make sure this gets added to the voice-of-customer deck.

Commercial project phases: Have you looked at the custom checklist templates we released? Not a full project management replacement, but might help break complex jobs into trackable stages.

Happy to set up a time to review your workflow if that would help — sometimes there are features that can close these gaps that aren't immediately obvious.

  • In my experience the "we're exploring" and "known gap" language just means check back in 18 months.

I use a paper notebook for my own job notes because FieldPulse mobile is slow to open and I don't want to stand in someone's driveway waiting for the app to load while it's sleeting. That's my shadow system. Everything else is FieldPulse because my manager makes me.

The one digital thing I actually want integrated: our parts supplier's website. I have to flip between apps to check stock, order, and then manually update FieldPulse. Waste of time. But supplier integration is apparently "on the roadmap" for two years now so I won't hold my breath.
