Next job on mobile schedule without opening app?

yo so like every morning im driving to the first job and i gotta open the app like 3 times to remember where im going lol. is there a way to see my next job on the lock screen or like a widget or something? would save me from pulling over every time

android btw if that matters

  • Hey Sam — yeah there's a widget for this. Long-press your home screen, add widget, look for FieldPulse. You can get the next scheduled job to show up without opening the app.

Pro tip: The widget refreshes when you have signal but caches the last known job, so if you're driving through dead zones it'll still show something. Just heads up though — sometimes it lags by a few minutes if you just got reassigned.

Also on Android you can turn on notification previews in your lock screen settings and set FieldPulse notifications to show the full job address. That's what I use more than the widget tbh.

  • Hi Sam! Happy to help — Josh is right, and I wanted to give you the exact steps for Android.

    1. Long-press an empty area on your home screen
    2. Tap Widgets
    3. Scroll to FieldPulse and select Next Job
    4. Choose the size (I recommend the 4x1 for address visibility)

You can also enable rich notifications for lock screen: Settings → Notifications → FieldPulse → Lock screen → Show sensitive content.

One thing to note: the widget pulls from your assigned schedule, so if your dispatcher just added something, give it 30–60 seconds to refresh. It won't show jobs in "Draft" status — only "Scheduled" or "Dispatched."

Let me know if you need help with the notification setup too!

  • sweet that worked. the 4x1 is perfect i can see the address and everything. thanks both of you

  • yo sam same thing i was looking for. i got it working then realized my phone kills the widget battery if i leave it on the home screen idk why

ended up just using the notification thing priya mentioned. way less hassle and shows up on my car android auto too which is clutch
