hey so i saw the fix in the other thread about android notifications

tried it on my samsung galaxy s23 and still nothing

went into settings > apps > fieldpulse > notifications and everything looks enabled

even turned off battery optimization like the post said

but im still not getting the push when dispatch assigns me jobs

idk if samsung does something different with their one ui thing

anyone else on samsung having this problem or am i just unlucky lol

    Tyler — Samsung's One UI is notorious for aggressive background app killing. The battery optimization setting you found is only half the battle.

    Pro tip: Go to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits and make sure FieldPulse is in "Never sleeping apps." Also check Settings > Apps > FieldPulse > Mobile data and ensure "Allow data usage in background" is on.

    I've seen this fix it for Galaxy S21 through S24 models. The other Android brands handle this more gracefully.

    in my experience samsung does their own notification priority thing that breaks half the apps out there

    try Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings > Notification history — see if FieldPulse is even attempting to fire

    if it's not there then the app is getting killed before it can push

    if it is there and you're just not seeing them, check Do Not Disturb and notification categories

    ok so i checked the notification history like you said

    fieldpulse is there but it says "blocked by DND"

    except i dont have DND on???

    this is so stupid lmao

    Samsung has a hidden "Sleep mode" that activates based on your usage patterns. Check Settings > Modes and Routines > Sleep — it's basically DND with a different name and it hijacks notification delivery.

    Pro tip: You can also go to Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb and expand "What can interrupt Do not disturb" to add FieldPulse as an exception.

    I keep a list of these Samsung-specific gotchas because they change the setting names every One UI update.
